Hydromed (hydrochlorthiazide)

Conclusion

Hydromed contains hydrochlorothiazide – a well-known compound already available in combination with ACE-inhibitors and Angiotensin-II-antagonists.

If used as monotherapy, Hydromed can be a relevant alternative to Centyl Mite with potassium chloride or Centyl with potassium chloride in situations where potassium supplements are not necessary or should be avoided (eg. patients with decreased kidney function). Hydromed can be used in combination treatments if one, for some reason, does not wish to use a combination product. A combination product is, however, often favorable in regards to price and compliance.
