Exforge HCT
Exforge HCT is a combination tablet containing different amounts of hydrochlorothiazide, amlodipine and the angiotensin-II antagonist valsartan.
Exforge HCT’s use as an antihypertensive is only justified, if it matches the composition and dose that is therapeutically optimal for reaching a given goal of blood pressure level. Furthermore, there has to be severe compliance issues. This – potentially better – compliance costs about 8 to 9 Dkr. more per day than a combination of the cheapest AT-II antagonist (losartan), thiazide and a calcium antagonist.
