Epiduo (Adapalene 0,1 % and bezoyl peroxide 2,5%)
Conclusion
Epiduo is a combination drug with a gel containing adapalene 0,1 % and benzoyl peroxide (BPO) 2,5 % for the treatment of acne. The combination treatment was in one study found to be better than the active substances separately. In another study the active substances were tested separately against use of a combination of both substances. No difference was found in this study.
Epiduo is more than two times more expensive than using the active substances separately.
Epiduo was marketed the 30th of June 2008.
