Tasks

The main tasks of IRF is to:  

• Publish a monthly medical journal (in Danish)
• Arrange courses for G.P.“s in relevant pharmacotherapeutic areas
• Prepare pharmacotherapeutic guidelines for selected areas in co-operation with the relevant scientific societies
• Arrange professional meetings on rational pharmacotherapy
• Support local county-based medicinal advisers of medicinal products
• Survey statistics on the consumption of medicinal products
• Arrange and actively participate in postgraduate education in the fields of rational pharmacotherapy
• Initiate projects and scientific investigations in areas of major pharmacotherapeutic and economical concern
• Prepare reviews that critically evaluate new, Danish medicinal products relevant to a large number of people.
